Children of the Dump by invitation only
Grant Application & Non-Discrimination Statement
As part of Children of the Dump’s due diligence, we assure our donors that all grants made from their funds are made to organizations that will benefit the children that are part of the dump community.
In order to fulfill our mission to embrace diversity and promote a humane and democratic society, we also require, for any future grants, that your organization submit a statement of non-discrimination to be included in our records.
This policy reflects Children of the Dump’s mission to promote humane and democratic society through its various activities and to make explicit our value of inclusiveness as we serve our donors and the dump community.
As you will note, the statement addresses discrimination as it relates both to the employees and volunteers of your organization as well as to the clients/members/students you serve.
Your application must also include a statement of how the grant will serve children whose parents work as recyclers at the transfer station.
